The Apprentice star rushed to hospital for surgery after ‘six weeks of hell’

A star from BBC’s The Apprentice has shared that she has suffered from six weeks of “intense pain” resulting in multiple trips to hospital. Rochelle Anthony, who made it to the finale of season 17, shared that she has already had one operation and is waiting for another one.

Taking to her Instagram account, she shared that she has been left feeling tired, sick and dizzy after undergoing treatment for gallstones. In a statement, Rochelle wrote: “I’ve been struggling with back pain for the past six weeks. These last 10 days have really ramped up.

“Multiple blood tests, scans and A&E trips later. I have these two gallstones stuck in my bile duct.”

The business woman explained it is not the first time she has faced issues of this nature, adding: “Most of you know I had 19 gallstones last year and my actual gallbladder removed. But these in this location are 11mm so too big to pass naturally. And in too tricky a place to operate on without a specialist.”

She went on to explain that she is undergoing medical treatment while awaiting yet another surgery. Rochelle wrote: “I’ve been sent home with HEAVY pain meds that’s left me sleeping all day/being sick and feeling dizzy! But it’s better than the intense pain I’ve had for the past 6 days!

“Trust your gut and fight for answers! Hopefully I will get the much needed operation ASAP!”

Rochelle shot to fame after trying to get Lord Alan Sugar to invest in her hair salon. She made it to the final round but was pipped to the post as he decided to partner up with Marnie Swindells to open a boxing gym in London instead.

Despite coming in second place, Rochelle’s business boomed after the show as clients started to travel up to four hours to get their hair done by her at her salon, The Dollshouse.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she explained: “I’m a firm believer in what’s not meant for me will pass me by, I left it up to the universe to decide. I fully believe that everything that is supposed to happen in my life will happen if it’s meant to.

“To me it was an absolute win-win either way, if I had won I would have had Lord Sugar as a business partner, he’s got a wealth of knowledge but at the same time, I have all that lovely PR.

“I’ve had all of those amazing experiences, so much time in the process to really learn and grow as a candidate.”
