With the many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to make a choice. Look no further. “On Stage” host Frank DiLella has curated a list of “must-see” shows this week, directing you to the best of Broadway, off-Broadway and beyond.

“Death Becomes Her”

The 1992 Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn cult classic “Death Becomes Her” is now a splashy new musical comedy starring Megan Hilty, Jennifer Simard, Christopher Sieber and Michelle Williams from “Destiny’s Child.” In the show, Hilty and Simard take on frenemies Madeline Ashton and Helen Sharp. “Death Becomes Her” is in previews at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The opening is set for Nov. 21.

“Hold On To Me Darling”

On the off-Broadway front, screen star Adam Driver is back on stage at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in Kenneth Lonergan’s play “Hold On To Me Darling.” In the show, Driver plays country music icon, Strings McCrane, who returns to his hometown in Tennessee for a dose of the simple life.

“S***.Meet.Fan.”

Over at MCC, don’t miss “S***.Meet.Fan.” written and directed by Robert O’Hara and starring Neil Patrick Harris, Jane Krakowski, Debra Messing, Constance Wu and more. The play centers around a group of friends who are playing a game at a cocktail party — a game where phones are out and every text, email and call must be shared aloud.

“Teeth”

Just in time for Halloween, don’t miss the critically acclaimed musical “Teeth” by Tony Award-winner Michael R. Jackson and Anna K. Jacobs. It’s playing in its new home at New World Stages. In the show, audiences will be introduced to Dawn O’Keefe played by Alyse Alan Louis, an evangelical Christian with a secret. Watch out, men! If you cross her, expect a bite.

Alysha Umphress

Broadway songstress Alysha Umphress returns to Joe’s Pub on Sunday and Monday night with her latest act, “Season of the Witch.” Expect to hear spooky and jazzy takes on songs by The Rolling Stones, Annie Lennox, The Police and more. And for the record, Umphress says there will be nothing from “Wicked.”
