Chris Dobey won his third Players Championship title of the year by defeating Stephen Bunting in Wigan.
Dobey, 34, continued his excellent form with an 8-3 victory over Bunting to win Players Championship 25.
The Englishman beat Luke Littler 6-5 in the quarter-finals before overpowering Daryl Gurney 7-1 in the last four.
Dobey’s latest success ensures he remains on track to qualify for November’s Players Championship Finals as the top seed.
“Confidence is key,” said Dobey. “I have won a couple of Players Championships already before today and I know where I am in the Players Championship standings.
“Once I saw that I was in the number one spot, I set myself the target of being there at the end and it has given me the motivation to start performing like this on a regular basis.”
