Kitty Fitz has shared her new EP ‘The Man In Me’ in full.
The London songwriter has been building to the release in the past few weeks, sharing some ace singles. Working with key tastemaker imprint Sad Club Records, her work – self described as “introspective, tongue-in-cheek, and honest” – taps into some very true spaces in her life.
Connecting with her audience, Kitty Fizy has just unveiled her new EP in full. Out now, ‘The Man In Me’ will be toasted with a special show next week, with the songwriter hitting Central London’s the Social on November 6th.
The title song has received the video treatment, and it points to broader themes within the project as a whole.
“This song really marks a place in time for me, and pinpoints how I was feeling at the very beginning of the writing of this EP. I was feeling a sense of complete rejection from myself, like there was something wrong with me and the desire to push everything and everyone away from me. The avoidance I was feeling is the big theme throughout the EP” Kitty explains. “A message I’ve learned from writing this song was that there’s power in never quite being exactly who people want you to be, even if the journey to learning it is hard and flawed.”
