Kate Winslet has opened up about her possible plans to retire, teasing that she has an ‘inappropriate’ and ‘sexual’ fantasy ready to go.

The 48-year-old has been a staple of our screens for decades, thanks to roles in Titanic, the Mate of Easttown, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Revolutionary Road.

Ahead of her new project, Lee – alongside Andy Samberg, Jude Law and Marion Cotillard – the Hollywood favorite was questioned about her incredible career and when she plans to put her feet up.

‘I’ve just been off for a whole year. I just had a full year off,’ she said during an appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

When asked what her retirement fantasy is and what she would do with the time off, she laughed while telling the host: ‘I don’t think I can say what I would do because it’s so inappropriate. No, I can’t!

‘I actually can’t because it’s rude and sexual, so I can’t say it.’

As the audience clapped her response, Kate insisted: ‘Listen, I ain’t never getting old! That’s all I need to say right now. I am never getting old.

‘And no retiring for me, ever!’

Truly an icon.

The Oscar-winner previously opened up about her new role, focusing on the story of iconic war photographer Lee Miller, which hit UK cinemas on September 13, ahead of the US premiere on Friday.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, she hailed it as her ‘most rewarding’ project yet, before touching on the some of the more intimate nude scenes.

‘It was really different actually, largely because we automatically knew that whenever we do show Lee naked or partially clothed, it’s always on her terms,’ she said.

‘Being a woman, obviously, I’m very conscious of how women are shown on camera.’

‘We never sexualized her, we never view her through a male gaze and it was very important to us that we shot it that way because Lee was somebody that had been viewed through the male gaze in the younger part of her life.

‘If you Google “Lee Miller” you’ll often find “the former muse”, “Man Ray”, “ex-model”, “ex-Vogue cover girl”.

‘That was a small snippet of her life in her 20s and she didn’t even like being a model, she only did it for a couple of years, and then she was asked not to do it again because she did an advertisement for sanitary napkins which apparently wasn’t the done thing.’
