Attention issues plus genetics may raise psychosis risk


A study published in Nature Mental Health suggested that children with attention-related issues and certain genetic factors may have an increased risk of developing psychosis and schizophrenia in adolescence. The research, which analyzed data from more than 10,000 children, found that attention span issues explained 4% to 16% of the relationship between genetics and the risk of psychotic symptoms.
