An Indian-origin man was charged with attempting the murder of two kids and a woman after he allegedly stabbed them in London, The Independent reported on Monday.
48-year-old Kulvinder Ram stabbed a two-year-old boy, an eight-year-old girl and a 30-year-old woman. Police were called to a residential street in Dagenham on Friday evening, where they discovered the three victims who are now in hospital. Their condition is stable.
“This is a truly shocking attack and I want to thank local residents for their assistance and patience while we deal with this incident,” said Det Supt Lewis Basford.
“A crime scene will remain in place for some time while our officers carry out vital work and you will see an increased policing presence in the area over the coming days. If you have any concerns or information that could assist police then please speak to an officer or call police on 101,” Basford added.
Ram is set to appear in court later in the day.
