Liam Payne’s father ready to help Buenos Aires police with investigation details

Liam Payne’s heartbroken father has demanded the truth behind his son’s untimely demise, declaring to authorities he’s prepared to “tell them everything he knows” to ensure a thorough investigation.

In a poignant encounter with justice officials in Buenos Aires, Geoff Payne is pressing for answers and aiding in advancing the return of his son’s remains back to the UK.

Today, a meeting occurred between him and prosecutor Andres Esteban Madrea, where it was revealed that the complete autopsy has yet to be finalized, delaying the repatriation as they await toxicology and tissue reports.

A spokesperson confirmed, detailing Mr Payne’s eagerness to contribute to the inquiry into his 31 year old son’s death by stating: “During the meeting with Mr Madrea, the musician’s father expressed his desire for an investigation and his wish to know what happened, and told the prosecutor that he was willing to testify about everything he knows about his son’s life that could help the probe.”

The spokesperson further explained that “The representative of the public prosecutor’s office informed the father that the toxicological and histopathological studies complementary to the autopsy have not yet been completed and that their results are necessary to decide on the release of the body.”

Officials have confirmed that, in addition to ongoing forensic tests, investigators are still analysing “mobile phones, computers, photographs and CCTV footage”, stating: “They will require a longer period of analysis.”, reports the Mirror.

Last week, it was revealed that three hotel workers and two women, identified as prostitutes, who had spent time with Liam before his death, were interviewed by prosecutors.

The task of piecing together the singer’s final hours continues, involving “hotel workers, acquaintances, technical and medical professionals and other people linked to him through his work.”

It is known that Liam spent time with Argentinian businessman Rogelio Nores, who has reportedly given a statement to investigators.

Following the leak of images from Liam’s hotel room last week, which showed a white powder on a desk currently under analysis, the singer’s family have been reassured they will be the first to receive any new information. These images were published in Argentinian media.

Argentinian news outlet Infobae reported yesterday that traces of cocaine were found in Liam’s body, but tests on the white powder have so far been “inconclusive.”

Unconfirmed reports from the US suggest a cocktail of drugs including designer narcotic pink cocaine containing MDMA, ketamine, methamphetamine was found in his system during a partial autopsy, along with crack cocaine and benzodiazepine.

Infobae has since maintained that there is no mention of other substances in any official reports on Liam’s death so far. Prosecutors have classified the death as “inconclusive” but stated that there is currently no evidence suggesting third-party involvement, and instead, Liam may have fallen from his balcony in a “in a state of semi or total unconsciousness” during a psychotic episode induced by substance use.

The initial autopsy, conducted last Wednesday night, revealed that Liam died from multiple trauma injuries that caused “internal and external haemorrhaging.”

His 25 ‘life-threatening’ injuries reportedly included a skull fracture.

A hotel manager called 911, the US emergency number, last Wednesday afternoon just before Liam’s death, saying: “We have a guest who’s off his head on drugs and is destroying everything in his room. We need someone to come.”

In a second call, he added: “we need you to send someone urgently because, well, I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger. They must be in a room that has a balcony. And well, we’re a little bit worried he’ll do something, that he’ll put his life at risk.”

Police are investigating the source of the drugs suspected to have been taken by Liam prior to his death, with speculation that a hotel worker may have been his dealer. Friends of the singer insist he was clean just days before the tragic incident.

Insiders reveal that Liam entered Argentina on September 30 and had to prolong his stay due to complications with renewing his soon-to-expire American visa. He arrived with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, who left Buenos Aires for the States shortly before Liam’s demise.
