He is best known for his infamous role as the tenth reincarnation of the Doctor in the science fiction series Doctor Who.
And David Tennant has only gone from strength to strength since he first jumped onto our screens in 2005. The 53-year-old actor – who hails from Bathgate, near Edinburgh – has since starred in several major TV series including Broadchurch, Good Omens and Staged to name but a few.
He has also tread the boards throughout his career, playing leading roles in many of Shakespeare’s classic plays including Othello, Hamlet, and Romeo and Juliet.
Away from the cameras, the TV favourite lives in the heart of London with his five children and his wife Georgia – the daughter of the fifth Doctor, Peter Davidson. As the actor smashes it on screen, let’s look at the famous couple’s family home.
Lavish home
The couple reportedly live in a lavish family home in the heart of Chiswick in West London. Their home is said to be worth around £2.5million in 2019 when David was given planning permission to add to his home.
He has since added a 16-metre swimming pool, which includes a changing room, a garden room, and a home gym.
Over the years, the blonde bombshell has given fans glimpses inside their home on her Instagram account.
Cosy Living room
Their spacious living room features a dramatic green-panelled wall with a built-in fireplace. Several shelving units frame the fireplace and display framed photos of the family and well-loved books, creating a cosy and chic space.
In another entertainment room, Georgia shared a throwback snap from when their fifth child was just a baby. The new arrival could be seen lying on the floor watching Doctor Who intently on the widescreen TV.
The screen is surrounded by cream cupboards and features a soft blue rug on top of the wooden floorboards.
Sprawling Garden
The former Harry Potter star gave fans a peek inside his rose-filled garden in a YouTube video in partnership with the children’s charity, Barnardo’s.
The clip revealed endless rose bushes, large wooden trellises covering one wall at the back of the garden, and what appeared to be a shed with frosted glass windows. Overhead, various trees offered ample shade as the TV veteran sat down at the outdoor dining table.
Elsewhere, Georgia shared a sweet snap of two of her children as they shared a sweet embrace on the trampoline, surrounded by safety nets with a wooden fence in the background.
Spacious Kitchen
David and Georgia’s warm home features a spacious kitchen which includes an enormous island with a white marble countertop which matches the marble splashbacks.
The heart of the kitchen features a brick chimney breast and wooden beams which celebrates the historic features of the property.
Channeling the neutral tones, the couple opted for white cabinets with frosted glass panels that gave fans a glimpse at their crockery and gold metal wear.
Georgia previously shared a sweet snap of Wilfred’s impressive birthday cake on their eighth birthday, where her matching white casserole dishes could be seen in the background.
Cluttered Utility room
Georgia and her daughter Birdie were snapped breastfeeding in the family’s laundry room in a sweet family snap.
The candid photo showed clothes littered across the herringbone floor, with items piling high on the countertops and an open washing machine door poking out of a cupboard.
Meanwhile, Georgia perched on a small bench with the little one in her arms as they took a moment to pause. In the background, pictures could be seen framed on the walls, with a plate rack and next to the cloakroom.
Tranquil bathroom
Their daughter Birdie frequently caused havoc in their family home as the youngest of the bunch.
And her doting mum regularly captured her cheeky antics on camera and shared them with her adoring followers online.
The actress shared a clip of the toddler unravelling the toilet paper into a pile on the floor while the other hand rested on the closed wooden toilet lid for balance.
The room is decorated in a cream and grey colour scheme which features white marble herringbone floors while the shower appears to have pebble tiles which contrasts with the subway tiles surrounding the rest of the bathroom.
