Julia Fox has opened up about her short-lived, high-profile romance with Kanye West in January 2022, soon after his split from Kim Kardashian.
The Uncut Gems star, 34, and Yeezy rapper, 47, were spotted together many times during their short romance, which is understood to have only lasted one month and occurred one year after Kim, 43, filed for divorce from the father of her children.
While not much is known about Julia and Kanye’s relationship, the mother of one, who has turned into an internet sensation with 1.9 million followers on TikTok, has been open in admitting it was ‘overwhelming’.
In 2023, she appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show where she said she thought the rapper needed someone ‘full-time’ and she quickly realised ‘it was so overwhelming and so unsustainable’.
Speaking to The Times’ Weekend Magazine, Julia has doubled down on her comments and stated that she ‘regrets’ the relationship and felt as though she was ‘used as a pawn’ by the 24-time Grammy winner.
‘I regret that relationship so much. I hate it! It was only a few weeks but enough to last me a lifetime,’ she said.
‘I was in probably the most uncomfortable position in my life and that’s saying a lot. I don’t want to be known for being anyone’s girlfriend.
‘It wasn’t my idea for it to go public. If anything, I was like, “We should wait,” and then boom, it was done behind my back. I realised pretty quickly I was being used as a pawn.’
Julia said when the pair parted ways, Kanye allegedly asked her to sign an NDA and claimed they weren’t able to be friends if she didn’t.
Refusing to sign, Julia claims she told the rapper, ‘I’ll live,’ and they went their separate ways.
By December that year, Kanye had found romance once again, this time with his wife, Bianca Censori, who he reportedly split from earlier this week.
Insiders told TMZ that the pair have been telling those in their circle that they split up a few weeks ago.
But the couple effectively quashed rumours they are heading for divorce as they put on a loved up display in Tokyo.
While rumours only circulated for one day, news shocked fans and reportedly even surprised Bianca’s parents who felt ‘tricked’.
‘Her parents are shocked by what they’re seeing – they feel tricked because Bianca told them she was getting ready to leave,’ a source told MailOnline.
‘They can’t understand what is happening and feel that she is being controlled.’
It comes after news Kanye is being sued by his former ‘director of intelligence’ after they were allegedly asked by the star to ‘hire private investigators to tail’ Bianca, 29.
The man, identified only as John Doe, was initially hired as Kanye’s campaign manager when he considered another presidential run in December 2022.
He claimed his duties soon changed and in addition to allegedly being asked to tail Bianca, he was also asked to investigate the Kardashian family.
