Tehran-Tel Aviv terrifying tango


Chances are higher than ever that Israel will strike strategic targets in Iran in the coming days. On Tuesday, Iran attacked Israel with hundreds of missiles, most of which were intercepted with no major casualties reported. Iran said this was to avenge the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan, and Hamas principal Ismail Haniyeh.

In turn, Israel has said Iran will pay, and Iran has also vowed a “crushing” response to any Israeli attack. Violence could spiral quickly now, as the ripple effects of the Oct 7 Hamas attack on Israel, and Israel’s war on Gaza, are proving harder and harder to contain.
