Mikel Arteta praised Arsenal’s growing maturity as they outclassed his former team Paris Saint-Germain with a 2-0 win in the Champions League. Arteta said: ‘I think we showed a lot of maturity in the way we played and we put our stamp in the way we want to behave in Europe against top teams, and I really like that.’ The PSG manager, Luis Enrique, took the blame for the defeat, insisting that his players performed ‘far from the minimum standards needed’ but ultimately conceded that PSG’s ‘defeat was totally deserved and Arsenal deserved the win without a doubt’.
