HOUSTON, Texas – A 16-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection to a deadly shooting of a man and another teenager in September.
The teen, who has not been identified by authorities due to his age, has since been charged with capital murder. The teen is accused of shooting 24-year-old Jaquez Moore and 16-year-old Deric Ward to death.
On Sept. 12, Houston police responded to reports of a shooting at Bauer Pocket Park, located at 2201 Bauer Dr., in the Spring Branch area.
Investigators said the 16-year-old suspect got into an altercation with Moore and Ward before gunshots were exchanged. Moore and Ward were pronounced dead at the scene.
On Tuesday, the teen was arrested and charged.
